Long time ago in Bethlehem,
so the Holy Bible say,
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ,
was born on Christmas Day.
Hark, now hear the angels sing,
a new king born today,
and man will live for evermore,
because of Christmas day.
While shepherds watch
their flocks by night,
they see a bright new shining star,
they hear a choir sing,
the music seemed to come from afar.
Now Joseph and his wife, Mary,
come to Bethlehem that night,
they find no place to born the child,
not a single room was in sight.

By and by they find a little nook
in a stable all forlorn,
and in a manger cold and dark,
Mary's little boy was born.

昔々ベツレヘムで、聖書にある通り、
クリスマスの日にマリヤに男の子、
イエス・キリストがお生まれになられた。

聞いてごらん、御使いたちの歌声が、
今も聞える・・今日、新しい王様が
お生まれになられたのだと、
クリスマスの恵みによって、罪深い人も
赦されて、永遠のいのちが与えられる。
その夜、羊飼いたちが羊の番をして
いると一つの明るく輝く星が見え、
遠くから讃美の歌声が聞こえて来た。
ヨセフと妻マリヤはその夜、
ベツレヘムにやって来た。
そこには赤ちゃんを産む場所はなく、
たった一つの部屋も見つからなかった。

その場所を見つけ、冷たく暗い飼葉桶の
中で男の子が産まれた。
